The xShielder iPhone 17 brings an iPhone 17 into Zone 1/21 potentially explosive areas. It is an ATEX certified flameproof enclosure (and, in the cemented-cover version, also IECEx) with the iPhone already installed: according to xShielder it is the lightest and slimmest Zone 1 smartphone in its range, with the performance, cameras, Face ID and iOS security of the original device.

Two cover versions

S01 – ATEX: removable cover secured with screws, ATEX Zone 1/21 certification.
S02 – ATEX and IECEx: cemented cover, ATEX and IECEx Zone 1/21 certification.

Regardless of the version, the enclosure can only be opened by authorised xShielder personnel.

Patented design

The enclosure can be opened after installation: if it is damaged it can be replaced without discarding the whole device, and at upgrade time the iPhone can be removed, traded in or resold, retaining its residual value. A more sustainable solution, with less electronic waste.
