Double compression cable gland for armoured, braided and lead-sheathed cables – Ex d / Ex e / Ex t, group I, II and III

The double compression gland provides two separate seals: a flameproof seal on the inner sheath of the cable and an IP and retention seal on the outer sheath, with the armour clamped and earthed between cone and clamping ring. This page covers every version for armoured cable: standard, universal for armour and braid, for offshore cables, for lead sheath and with displacement inner seal, which reduces the effects of sheath cold flow. All are supplied pre-assembled and fit Ex d, Ex e and Ex t enclosures in Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22.

Available versions

• Standard (SWA / AWA): Metal double compression cable gland for SWA and AWA armoured cables: flameproof seal on the inner sheath and IP seal on the outer sheath, Ex db / Ex eb / Ex tb, also for mining (Group I).
• Universal (armour, braid, screen): Double compression gland with universal cone: one model for wire armoured (SWA, AWA, PWA), tape armoured (STA) and braided or screened (SWB) cables, Ex db / Ex eb / Ex tb.
• Offshore braided cables: Double compression gland for braided or screened cables (SWB, STA) typical of marine and offshore installations, Ex db / Ex eb / Ex tb, IP66/IP68.
• Lead sheath: Double compression gland for SWA and AWA armoured cables with lead inner sheath, with integrated earthing ring for the lead, Ex db / Ex eb / Ex tb, Group I, II and III.
• Displacement seal: Double compression gland with silicone displacement inner seal that limits the effects of cable cold flow; for armoured, braided and screened cables, Ex db / Ex eb / Ex tb, Group I, II and III.
• Displacement seal, lead sheath: Double compression gland with displacement inner seal and earthing of the lead sheath, for SWA and AWA armoured cables, Ex db / Ex eb / Ex tb.
