Insertion probe that senses the difference between the dynamic and static pressure of the medium in the pipe, from which the flow rate is derived using a differential pressure transmitter. Thanks to insertion mounting, pressure loss is low and installation is straightforward even on large-diameter pipes.

Features

  • Connections G 1…G 1 ½, 1…1 ½" NPT, flange DN25…80 or ANSI 1…3"
  • All stainless steel construction
  • Pressure up to 400 bar
  • Temperature up to 1175 °C
  • Probe length 50…8000 mm (2"…600")

Operating principle

The pressure ports of the probe, facing the flow, generate a differential pressure related to the velocity of the medium; a differential pressure instrument converts it into a flow value.
