Visual flow indicator for liquids with a rotor in borosilicate glass: turning the glass by 180° lets internal wipers clean the window without dismantling.
This flow indicator is installed directly in liquid pipelines and shows the passage of the medium by means of a plastic rotor housed in a hard borosilicate glass body. Female threaded end connections on both sides are available in brass or stainless steel. Its key feature is the self-cleaning function, which keeps the window readable even when dirt and deposits build up.
The flowing medium turns the rotor, which is visible through the glass. When the sight glass is rotated by hand through 180°, built-in wipers remove deposits from its inner surface and the loosened dirt is simply carried away by the flow. Low-friction O-rings keep the glass sealed while allowing it to be turned.
Visual monitoring of circulation in systems handling liquids that tend to foul sight windows, where conventional indicators lose visibility over time.
