Rotating paddle flow indicator with interchangeable orifice, threaded or flanged

Rotating paddle indicator designed to show that flow is present rather than to measure it. The rotor, visible through windows on the front and back of the square housing, turns as the liquid passes. It is available as a threaded version (body in brass, stainless steel, polyamide or polysulfone) and as a flanged stainless steel version.

• Indicating range from 0.03…0.1 up to 5…150 l/min (water)
• Threaded version: connections from G ⅛ to G 1½ or from ⅛ to 1½" NPT
• Flanged version: DN 15 to DN 50 or ½ to 2" ANSI
• Flow range changed by replacing the inlet orifice
• Can be installed in any position, following the arrow direction
• Maximum pressure 16 bar, maximum temperature 110 °C

Operating principle

The liquid passing through the inlet orifice drives the paddles, and their movement shows that flow is present. Thanks to the way the unit is assembled, the display section can be rotated even during operation to obtain the best view in any mounting position (not possible on some versions).

Applications

Visual monitoring of circulation in liquid lines where it is enough to know whether the medium is flowing, for example in cooling and utility circuits.
