Unlike simple flow presence indicators, this flap indicator allows the flow rate to be read: the position of the flap relative to the graduated scale directly shows the flow. The body is made of red bronze (gunmetal) and connections range from G ½ to G 1.

Operating principle

The passing liquid deflects the flap by an amount that depends on the flow rate; comparing its position with the scale gives the instantaneous flow value.
