Screw spindle flow meter for high pressure and large flow rates, cast iron or stainless steel

Range of screw spindle positive displacement flow meters for non-abrasive viscous liquids, available in continuous cast material or stainless steel. It covers flow rates from 0.1 l/min up to 5000 l/min and withstands pressures up to 420 bar and temperatures up to 200 °C. Viscosity changes between 1 and 5000 mm²/s do not affect the measurement within the stated accuracy.

Operating principle

The heart of the meter consists of two high-precision spindles with a cycloidal profile, mounted on ball bearings at both ends. The liquid, forced through axially, turns the spindles uniformly, forming measuring chambers of defined volume. A sensor converts the rotary motion into a frequency signal which, processed by the downstream electronics, provides a complete measuring and control system for viscous liquids.
