Stainless steel Woltmann turbine for liquids from 0.3 to 400 l/min, up to 630 bar and 350 °C, individually calibrated with ±1% linearity.
Stainless steel turbine flow meter based on the Woltmann principle, designed for pressures up to 630 bar and temperatures up to 350 °C in the high-temperature version. Each instrument is calibrated and supplied with its own calibration report. Rotation is sensed without contact by an inductive pick-up.
A low-mass rotor is mounted on bearings, concentric with the meter tube. The liquid passes axially through the turbine after being conditioned by a flow straightener, so it reaches the blades in a nearly laminar state. The rotational speed is proportional to the mean flow velocity and therefore to the volumetric flow rate over a wide range. An inductive pick-up screwed into the body senses the rotation without contact; the signal is amplified and converted into pulses whose frequency is proportional to the flow rate. The specific viscosity of the application can be taken into account during calibration.
