Plastic flow meter and flow switch for high flow rates up to 60,000 l/h

Plastic variable area flow meter and flow switch for flow rates up to 60,000 l/h of water and 2,500 m³/h of air. The metering tube comes in three materials chosen according to how aggressive the medium is: PVDF for highly aggressive media, polysulfone for moderately aggressive ones and trogamid for water and air. The materials used stand up well to impact, bending and compression.

Operating principle

The float moves freely and without friction inside the metering tube; from nominal size DN 65 it is guided by a rod. The flow rate is read at the widest diameter of the float, whose built-in magnet can actuate external reed contacts.
