Calorimetric flow meter and flow switch for water-based liquids up to 100 bar, with ATEX/IECEx and 3-A versions

Calorimetric instrument for continuous detection of the flow of water-based liquids. It provides reliable flow monitoring with minimal pressure loss, and the one-piece sensor greatly reduces problems caused by dirt. It is available as a compact stainless steel unit or as a remote version with a brass or stainless steel sensor, as well as with ATEX and IECEx approvals and 3-A certification for hygienic applications.

Operating principle

The heated sensor gives off heat to the moving liquid: the higher the flow velocity, the more heat is carried away. The electronics convert this change into a continuous flow indication and switching signals.

Applications

Monitoring the circulation of water and water-based liquids in cooling, process and hygienic systems, including hazardous areas with the approved versions.
