Spring-loaded all-metal rotameter for horizontal pipework, measuring liquids and gases up to 60,000 l/h of water; PN40, up to 200 °C.

All-metal rotameter intended for horizontal pipework, thanks to a float working against a spring. It measures liquid flows up to 60,000 l/h of water and gas flows up to 1100 Nm³/h of air. The body is 1.4404 stainless steel, with an optional PTFE lining. The instrument carries ATEX, IECEx, NEPSI and CCOE/PESO approvals.
A guided float moves inside the metering tube, pushed by the medium and held back by a spring acting in the opposite direction. When there is flow, an annular gap opens between the conical magnet carrier and the metering ring; the position of the carrier results from the balance between the flow force, the spring force and, in vertical installations, buoyancy and weight. Each position corresponds to a flow value determined during calibration and printed on the scale. A magnetic coupling transfers the movement to a second encapsulated magnet on the pointer shaft, which shows the reading on the scale.
