Electromagnetic insertion meter for medium-diameter pipes, installed via a welded stub. The stainless steel probe with PTFE insulation measures the flow velocity of liquids with a conductivity of at least 20 µS/cm. The separate transmitter provides analogue, pulse and status outputs, a digital display and HART® communication.

Features

  • Velocity range 1…10 m/s
  • Installation via welded stub on DN80…400 (3"…16") pipes
  • Materials: stainless steel 1.4571/1.4404, 316L, PTFE
  • PN16: 16 bar at 90 °C, 14 bar at 100 °C
  • Process temperature -20…+100 °C, ambient -20…+60 °C
  • Minimum conductivity 20 µS/cm
  • DNV marine approval

Operating principle

The probe generates a magnetic field in the medium: the moving conductive liquid induces a voltage proportional to its velocity, which is picked up by the electrodes. For Q ≥ 30 % of full scale the accuracy is ±1.5 % of reading; below 30 % of full scale it is ±1.5 % of reading ±2.5 % of full scale.
