WCS combines a metal or plastic code rail with non-contact optoelectronic read heads: it detects a new absolute position every 0.8 mm in real time, even at high travel speeds, on curved paths, inclines, declines, interruptions and lane changes. It is used on overhead cranes, stacker cranes, monorails, port facilities and electroplating plants.
