M-LB surge protection barriers for power supply lines protect cabinets, power supplies and control systems against surges coming from the mains. Type 2 devices (Class II acc. to IEC 61643-11) are available with 1 to 4 poles for single-phase, TN, TN-C, TN-S and TT systems at 120 V or 230/400 V; Type 3 devices provide fine protection downstream, close to the loads, for 24 V AC, 120 V and 230 V.

Each unit is pre-wired and consists of a base and plug-in protection modules, locked in the base and replaceable without tools via release buttons. The status of every protected line is shown in green/red, and a volt-free change-over contact reports faults to the supervisory system. Spare protection modules (.M) can be ordered separately.
