K-System solenoid drivers pass a digital command from the control system to solenoid valves, LEDs, audible alarms and similar loads installed in the hazardous area (Zone 0, 1, 2), with galvanic isolation between the circuits. The output has a resistive characteristic, so the available voltage and current depend on the load; the range therefore offers several voltage/current combinations to match the coil being driven.

In the loop-powered versions the energy for the field side is taken directly from the control signal, with no separate supply. Other models are powered via Power Rail and offer logic inputs with AND/OR functions and a service port for function testing.
