H-System HiC digital barriers transfer on/off signals between the field and the control system. Switch amplifiers read NAMUR sensors or dry contacts in Zone 0, 1, 2 and pass them to the safe area via passive transistor or relay outputs; solenoid drivers power solenoid valves, LEDs and audible alarms in the hazardous area; the HiC5861 relay module safely switches load circuits up to 30 V.

All modules plug into HiC termination boards, which provide the supply and a common fault bus. Versions with an R suffix are matched to specific control systems (e.g. Honeywell Safety Manager RIO I.S. for HiC2831R2).
