GR-U enclosures are the same carbon-loaded GRP enclosures that Pepperl+Fuchs uses for its own junction boxes, supplied empty with a component (U) certificate. They are intended for manufacturers and panel builders who fit certified terminals, components and cable glands in line with the instructions and the permissible power dissipation.

The type code gives the nominal size in cm (height.width.depth) and orientation: GR.36.36.17.B-U0001 is a 359×359×166.5 mm enclosure with face B at the bottom. Version GR.18.18.10.B-UNG01 has a window.
