FieldConnex FieldBarriers connect intrinsically safe instruments to a high-power fieldbus trunk. The trunk can thus reach long cable lengths and high device counts even in hazardous areas, while each output is Ex ia IIC (FISCO or Entity) with short-circuit current limitation: the segment keeps running during faults or hot work at the spur.

F2D0-FB-EX4 units are stand-alone devices in a cast aluminium housing for outdoor installation in Zone 1, with 4 outputs and several cable gland options. For cabinet mounting, the RD0-FB-Ex4 module and the R4D0-FB DIN rail versions with 8, 10 or 12 outputs are available.
