Pepperl+Fuchs Field Units are field enclosures already fitted with backplanes, terminals and cable ducts for the LB Remote I/O system (installation in Zone 2 or the safe area) and the FB Remote I/O system (Zone 1). They are supplied as a ready-to-use certified solution: only the I/O modules, power supplies and com units need to be inserted.

The LB9547-S70 stainless steel version for MODBUS TCP, for example, holds up to 46 single-width I/O modules, with redundant fieldbus and power connections and an electropolished IP66/NEMA 4X enclosure.
