AD adapters allow a cable gland or accessory to be fitted where its thread differs from that of the enclosure entry. The type code gives, in order, the male thread (enclosure side), the female thread, the material (BN nickel-plated brass, SS stainless steel), the seal (C chloroprene, S silicone, X none, for NPT male threads), the thread length in mm and the pack.

Kit versions (K01) include the adapter, a locknut and a washer gasket; washer gasket and O-ring apply to metric threads only.
