The JOWO 8811 Ex series is a flameproof (Ex d) connection system with ATEX and IECEx certification, designed for the harshest environments: offshore platforms, chemical and petrochemical plants, mines and installations exposed to water under pressure, watertight to 10 MPa (approx. 1000 m). The nickel aluminium bronze or 316L stainless steel shell resists marine corrosion; the PTFE insert is scoop-proof and the locking is by screw coupling.

The system includes plug G, in-line receptacle H and square flange receptacle Q in three shell sizes, with 13 layouts from 3 to 27 contacts (up to 23 A per contact and 800 Vrms), plus molding or band backshells, protection caps, potting sets and installation tools.
